This policy explains what personal data SP Engineers collects through spengineers.org, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it. It covers the website only. It does not cover data you give us in person, by post, or through a marketplace such as IndiaMART or TradeIndia, which operate under their own policies.
SP Engineers is the data fiduciary for the information described here. Our details are at the end of this page.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the enquiry form on our contact page, we collect the name, company name, phone number, email address and message that you enter. All of these are required to respond to an enquiry. We do not ask for payment card details anywhere on this website.
Information collected automatically. When you submit an enquiry we also record the date and time and the IP address the enquiry came from. If you reached us by clicking a Google advertisement, we record the click identifier that Google adds to the link, described under Advertising below.
Usage information. Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device type and browser. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and provide a quotation or technical specification
- To contact you about the products or systems you asked about
- To keep a record of enquiries so that none is lost if email delivery fails
- To understand how visitors use the site and improve it
- To measure whether our advertising produces genuine enquiries
We do not use your enquiry details to send unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Google Search. When you arrive from one of our advertisements, Google adds a click identifier to the web address. We store that identifier in a cookie on your device and attach it to your enquiry if you submit one, so that we can tell which advertisements produce real enquiries rather than only clicks. If an enquiry later becomes an order, we may report that back to Google Ads against the same identifier so that our advertising is directed more accurately.
We may also use a Google Ads feature called enhanced conversions. Where it is enabled, the email address and phone number you submit are converted into an irreversible hashed form in your browser before being sent to Google, so that Google can confirm a conversion took place. Google does not receive these details in readable form through this feature.

Who we share data with
We do not sell or trade your personal data. It is shared only in these circumstances:
- Google (Analytics and Ads) for the measurement and advertising purposes described above
- Our email provider, because enquiry notifications are delivered to our team by email
- WhatsApp, operated by Meta, if you choose to use the WhatsApp button. Doing so opens WhatsApp and any conversation there is governed by Meta's privacy policy rather than this one. If you arrived from an advertisement, a short reference code is added to the prefilled message so we can identify the enquiry source
- Where required by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for up to three years from your last contact with us, since industrial equipment purchases and subsequent spare part requirements often span several years. Analytics data is retained according to the period configured in Google Analytics. Advertising identifiers expire as shown in the cookie table above. You may ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Enquiry records are held on our server in a location that is not publicly accessible, and access is limited to staff who need it in order to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the relevant authority without undue delay if a breach affects your personal data.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and comparable laws that may apply to you, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and obtain a copy of it
- Correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date
- Erase your personal data where we no longer need it
- Withdraw consent, where we relied on consent to process it
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf
Write to us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children
This website sells industrial equipment to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
