Manufacturer of Oil Filler Cum Air Breather

An oil filler cum air breather fits on top of a lubrication reservoir and does two jobs through one fitting: a strainer element in the fill neck keeps dirt and coarse contamination out while topping up oil, and a vented cap lets the reservoir breathe as the oil level rises and falls with pump operation and temperature. Without a breather, a sealed reservoir would draw in a partial vacuum on the down-stroke and risk pulling contamination past seals on the next fill.
