Detail view of Hydraulic / Pneumatically operated Pump

hydraulic pneumatically operated pump
Description

These are piston type pump and used for automatic lubrication with the help of hydraulic / pneumatic pressure. It is similar to hand operated piston pumps. In this system the piston is actuated by hydraulic / pneumatic pressure. The recomanded Input pressure in case of Hydraulic system is 15-20 bar and in pneumatic system it is 5-7 bars.

Construction

The hydraulic / pneumatically operated pump is a piston-type pump built around the same principle as a hand-operated pump, but with the manual actuating force replaced by hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. The pump body houses one or more piston-and-barrel assemblies. A directional control valve routes the actuating fluid (hydraulic oil or compressed air) to extend and retract the piston, drawing lubricant from the reservoir on the return stroke and discharging it under pressure on the forward stroke. The reservoir is mounted directly on the pump body and the outlet connects to the distribution system via standard fittings.

Applications

Hydraulic / pneumatically operated pumps are used wherever an electrical supply is unavailable or undesirable but a hydraulic or pneumatic supply is already present on the machine. Typical applications include:

  • CNC machine tools with an existing hydraulic power pack
  • Presses and stamping machines with pneumatic circuits
  • Mobile or outdoor machinery where electrical connections are impractical
  • Hazardous-area installations requiring intrinsically safe operation
  • Machines requiring lubrication only when the machine cycle is active (pump actuated by the machine's own hydraulic or pneumatic signal)
Key Features
  • Operates without an electric motor — powered entirely by existing hydraulic or pneumatic supply
  • Hydraulic input: 15–20 bar; Pneumatic input: 5–7 bar
  • Output pressure up to 12 kg/cm² — suitable for most single-line lubrication systems
  • 10 cc discharge per stroke across all models
  • Reservoir capacities from 0.5 L to 3 L
  • Compact and lightweight — easy to mount on machine frames
  • Low maintenance: no motor, no electrical components to service
