Plunger Pump Manufacturer in India
What Is a Plunger Pump?
A plunger pump is a compact, high-pressure metering pump that delivers a precise, fixed amount of lubricant, oil or grease, with every stroke. It is a core component in centralized lubrication systems, installed at each lubrication point to ensure a consistent, measured dose reaches the bearing or machine surface every cycle.
SP Engineers manufactures plunger pumps at our Faridabad facility for use in centralized oil lubrication systems across steel plants, CNC machines, textile mills, paper mills, and general industrial machinery. Output is adjustable via a discharge screw, and delivery pressure reaches up to 200 kg/cm², making it suitable for even the most demanding high-pressure lubrication applications.

How a Plunger Pump Works
The plunger pump operates on a simple reciprocating principle. On the downstroke, the plunger draws lubricant from the supply line into the pump chamber. On the upstroke, it forces the lubricant out under pressure through the outlet to the lubrication point. The stroke length remains constant, output volume is controlled by adjusting how much of the stroke is active via the discharge screw.
Because each stroke delivers the same metered dose regardless of back-pressure variation, plunger pumps are ideal for precision lubrication where consistent dosing is critical.
Key Features
- High delivery pressure: up to 200 kg/cm², suitable for long line runs and high-resistance lubrication points
- Adjustable output: discharge screw allows precise setting of lubricant dose per stroke
- Fixed stroke: consistent delivery regardless of system pressure variation
- Compact design: easy to mount directly at the lubrication point or in a manifold assembly
- Multiple output options: 0.05, 0.25, 0.50, 0.70, and 1.6 cc/stroke to match any lubrication requirement
- Standard M22 × 1.5 mounting thread: compatible with SP Engineers manifolds and standard lubrication system fittings
- Suitable for oil and grease: versatile across centralized oil and grease lubrication systems
Applications
Plunger pumps are used wherever a precise, reliable dose of lubricant must be delivered to a specific point on a machine. Common applications include:
- CNC machine tool guideways, spindle bearings, and ball screws
- Centralized oil lubrication systems for machine tools and general machinery
- Steel plant auxiliary equipment: conveyor bearings, roller tables
- Textile machinery: spindle and loom bearing lubrication
- Paper mill machinery: felt roll and press roll bearings
- Packaging and printing machinery
- Any application requiring metered, high-pressure lubrication at individual points
