Description

Motorised lubrication units are electric motor driven pumps along with reservoir, oil filler, suction stainer, pressure relief valve, bleed valve etc. And are suitable for single shot automatic oil lubrication. These motorised lubrication units are to be run intermittently.

During motor ‘ON’ period (normally 5 sec) all metering cartridges eject out required amount of oil at various points of the machine. And during motor ‘OFF’ period (decided by lubrication frequency min.1 minute) these metering cartridges get recharged for next lubrication cycle. These units do not require any return line connection as metered amount of oil is lost in normal running of the machine.

How a Motorized Lubrication Unit Works

A motorized lubrication unit operates on a timed intermittent cycle controlled by an electronic timer or the machine's PLC. When the timer triggers, the motor runs for a short period (typically 5–30 seconds), driving the pump to build pressure in the distribution line. Each metering cartridge connected to the line ejects a fixed dose of oil to its assigned lubrication point. When the motor stops, pressure drops and the metering cartridges recharge — drawing in the volume of oil needed for the next cycle.

Because the oil is delivered in precise metered doses and lost in normal machine operation (total-loss system), no return line is required. The unit is self-contained — reservoir, pump, motor, pressure switch, float switch, and filter are all mounted as a single ready-to-install assembly.
